Mission Mondays Connects Star Community with Mission Statement

Over the summer, thanks to a grant from the Allstate Foundation, our Star students and faculty worked together to create programming that would increase the sense of belonging among students and provide the opportunity for extended learning in our community that culminated in the idea for Mission Mondays.

Mission Mondays provides students with a flexible schedule for the day with multiple sessions to choose from. Students get to connect with their fellow Stars and teachers in different grade levels by selecting from sessions that range from participating in a service project, getting help with school assignments, trying a new activity, or meeting with an organization or individual from outside the Ann Richards School community to learn about a new experience.

Overall, Mission Mondays enable students to personalize their leadership, service, wellness, and academic opportunities that align with the Ann Richards School mission statement. The goal for Mission Mondays is to create a strong sense of belonging for all students, faculty, families, and alumni.
