Señora Schweke’s Spanish III class created alebrijes for the Mexic-Arte Museum and City of Austin’s Viva La Vida Parade for Day of the Dead. Alebrijes are Mexican folk art sculptures and our sophomore Stars have been in the MakerSpace carefully fabricating them as puppets to use during the parade. This past Saturday our Stars were able to show off all of their hard work and celebrate down Congress Avenue at the parade. Very proud of these Stars for representing the school in their community.
