College Essay Workshop Kicks Off Application Process for Class of 2024

The rising seniors from the Class of 2024 started their summer break by heading back to the classroom to focus on a challenging task for the college application process. These seniors were joined by faculty from the English and Language Arts department at the Ann Richards School for a Writers’ Workshop to work on their college essays. With a ratio of six Stars per faculty member, the Writers’ Workshop, funded by the Ann Richards School Foundation, supported each senior so they could collaborate to get over the hurdle of brainstorming a topic, getting thoughts on the page, and drafting a compelling essay. By the end of the week, the Writers’ Workshop allowed the seniors time and focus to complete their college essays and have a game plan for getting recommendations, all to help prepare the Class of 2024 to attend college in the fall of 2024.
