Junior Maya Messinger, Freshmen Emily Weaver, and Senior Georgia Hernandez introduced and interviewed NASA Astronaut Dr. Karen Nyberg in front of all Ann Richards high school students on Wednesday, December 3rd.
NASA Astronaut Dr. Karen Nyberg visited the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, and presented Life on the ISS (International Space Station); Investing in Our Future to all high school students at the Ann Richards School. Dr. Nyberg spoke about her journey to becoming an astronaut and life as a woman in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Following the presentation, Dr. Nyberg spoke at the Inaugural Governor’s Council Speaker Series Luncheon with members of the Ann Richards School Foundation Governor’s Council.
