SchoolPool – Go Together

Carpool with confidence using SchoolPool.

Intro to SchoolPool

We are excited to share a partnership with Movability, offering an innovative solution to get students safely to and from school. The Ann Richards School school will begin enrolling families in SchoolPool powered by Go Together, which is a secure, online transportation matching platform for carpooling, walking, biking together, and only accessible to approved users in our school community.

SchoolPool provides a safe way for parents and caregivers to request and offer rides. They can also bike and walk together for families who live close to the school. Families can set up short-term trips for an event, a season, or the entire school year. Reducing the number of vehicles at pickup and dropoff will save time, make our school driveways safer, and improve air quality and traffic congestion.

About SchoolPool

Traffic congestion in Central Texas is getting worse. Between a growing population and region-wide construction projects that are reducing road capacity, getting students to and from school is becoming more time-consuming and costly. Long lines at school pickup and drop-off negatively impact student safety and air quality.

To help families save time and money and help schools reduce traffic congestion and the long drop-off/pick-up experience, the Ann Richards School is launching a partnership with Movability’s SchoolPool powered by Go Together. This secure, online transportation platform is accessible only to approved school community families.

Movability’s SchoolPool powered by Go Together, where you can:

– Meet other parents and caregivers interested in carpooling your children to and from school and extracurricular activities—even biking or walking together!

– Request and offer a ride.

– If you live close to school but want to switch off chaperone duties with another parent in the area, organize biking and walking matches.

– Set up short-term trips for an event or trips for a season, or for the entire school year.

– Web and Mobile Apps with language translation.

Background Screening

Any parents and other caregivers who are interested in participating in the SchoolPool to offer or seek ride support must first complete a background screening. This is a similar process to what you’d need to complete to volunteer at our school. Once the background screening has been completed and approved, you will receive a Welcome email from Go Together notifying them that they now have full access to start searching for families and creating trips. The process usually takes just 1-2 days to complete and will cover the past 7-year period.

What’s included in the screening?

The background check is done by Checkr, Go Together’s trusted screening partner. Even if you’re not planning to drive, completing a background screening is still required.

Here’s what’s included:

– Driver History (Motor Vehicle Records) – for those ready to drive; you can add this later too

– Social Security Number & Address History

– National and Local Criminal Background

– Sex Offender Registry

– Global Watchlist Screening

Available in English and Spanish and usually takes just 1–2 days to complete
