The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders is back in the top 100 public high schools in the country.
The 2026–2027 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings placed the Ann Richards School at #97 nationally, #10 in Texas, and #2 in Austin. The list ranked 17,945 public high schools nationwide.
This marks a return to the national top 100 for ARS, which last reached that milestone in 2023 when the school ranked #95 nationally. In 2025, ARS ranked #142 nationally, #17 in Texas, and #2 in Austin, making this year’s results a significant jump in the rankings.
The rankings recognize the academic excellence and college preparation happening every day at the Ann Richards School, where Stars are challenged to think critically, solve problems creatively, and prepare for success in college and beyond.
