The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders kicked off its 20th anniversary year on Tuesday, August 18, welcoming more than 900 Stars back to campus for the 2026-2027 school year.
The morning began with a spirited welcome from the Marching Stars, Starlettes Dance Team, Stars Cheer and Color Guard, bringing plenty of Star spirit to campus.
The celebration continued with a special welcome from Principal Jodi Granado, who officially began her first school year as the leader of the Ann Richards School. Principal Granado encouraged each Star to embrace their own leadership path.
The morning celebration continued with one of our favorite traditions, the Star Walk. Seniors from the Class of 2027 lined the halls to welcome our newest 6th-grade Stars with high-fives, cheers and encouragement as they made their way to their learning neighborhood.
The first day of school is always a special moment, but this year marks something even bigger. As we start to celebrate 20 years of the Ann Richards School, we are excited to begin another year of helping young women grow as students, leaders and members of the Star community.
