A group of our middle and high school Stars participated in the Young Women’s Preparatory Network STEM Challenge on Saturday, November 2. Our middle school group proposed creating a wearable UV sensor to help protect against skin cancer, and our high school group wants to help overcrowded animal shelters by fabricating a dynamic kennel to offer multiple housing options for animals. Both teams took 3rd place in middle school and high school. Congrats!
