Each year, our Stars begin the spring semester with Intersession, a unique two-day experience focused on exploration, creativity, and community connection. Held during the first few days back from winter break, Intersession gives students the opportunity to step outside the classroom, connect with faculty and staff in new ways, and reset before the academic pace of the semester begins.
During Intersession 2026, Stars volunteered at places like Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center, while others explored new interests and hobbies. Activities included hiking around Austin, Legos, crafting, animation, bread making, photography, cooking Korean BBQ, kayaking and paddle boarding on Town Lake, bowling, golfing, and exploring the Capitol, Austin Public Library, and Texas State History Museum.
With all grade levels participating both on campus and across Austin, Intersession once again offered a meaningful way for students to pursue passions, try something new, and start the spring semester energized, inspired, and ready to learn.
