Each year, Boys & Girls Clubs across the country nominate Club members for the “Youth of the Year” program, a recognition of commitment to academics, home, family, and the Boys & Girls Clubs. It is the highest honor a Club member can receive. This year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin is proud to announce Ms. Dennis Vera as the Austin Youth of the Year.
Dennis is a senior and Club member at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders. She joined Girls Club in 2009, and is active in Marathon High, Keystone Club, and Toastmasters. She was nominated for her consistent participation, great enthusiasm, and positive attitude. She is an incredible Club member and we are so proud of her!
