RUReady Texas Partners with Juniors

The junior class spent the Spring semester working with undergraduate students from the University of Texas at Austin – Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life as part of the RUReady Texas program. RUReady Texas is a program that aims to cultivate active citizenship through UT Austin students mentoring and teaching active civic engagement to high school students. Ann Richards School juniors partnered with ten UT Austin undergraduates from Professor Heather Vaughan’s Communication for Civic Engagement course. Students learned how to get involved locally, create an action plan, and gather feedback on a solution to the problem.
