Given recent directives from the CDC and the Mayor’s office regarding COVID-19, the Ann Richards School Foundation regrets to announce that we will not hold our annual Reach for the Stars gala on May 8, 2020. Reach for the Stars benefits the Ann Richards School Foundation, funding enhancement programs at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders and enabling young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to gain the confidence and skills to apply, attend, and graduate from college.

We have much to celebrate at the Ann Richards School, with 100% of seniors on track to graduate from high school and 100% of seniors accepted to four-year colleges and universities. Thank you for your support of Ann Richards School students and their bright, college-bound futures.

Reach for the Stars is the Ann Richards School Foundation’s annual fundraising gala to celebrate the graduating class and support enhancement programs at the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders. Each year, Reach for the Stars engages the community to recognize our graduating seniors’ achievements and bright futures. Since 2013, Reach for the Stars has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for school programs and opportunities for Ann Richards School students that otherwise would not be possible.
