Reach for the Stars was a memorable evening that reflected how the legacy of Ann Richards continues to grow through the students of the Ann Richards School.
This year’s event was a night filled with energy, inspiration, and celebration. Guests had the opportunity to hear directly from our Stars, including student emcees Valeria, Sam, Yulissa, and Gouri, who helped lead an engaging and thoughtful program.
One of the evening’s most memorable moments was the conversation between Star students Anamaia and Annika with Ann Richards Legacy Award recipient Maryana Iskander. Their discussion kept the audience fully engaged as they explored leadership, mentorship, and important topics such as healthcare and the future of artificial intelligence.
The evening also highlighted the powerful impact of community support. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, this year’s Reach for the Stars surpassed its fundraising goal. Those funds will directly support the programs and opportunities that make the Ann Richards School experience so meaningful for students.
As the celebration came to a close, the excitement continued with a look toward the future. The Ann Richards School Foundation and Ann Richards School are already preparing for a major milestone with the 20th anniversary celebration of Reach for the Stars on April 16, 2027, at the JW Marriott Austin.
