A group of our middle and high school Stars participated in the Young Women’s Preparatory Network STEAM Challenge on Saturday, March 27. Our middle school group proposed creating a wearable sensor to detect proper social distancing to protect against COVID-19. Our high school groups worked on safe drinking water in Bangladesh and alternative electronic vehicle charging stations to reduce greenhouse gasses from car emissions. Our middle school team, the Stars STEAM Team, took first place and won a Lenovo Chromebook. You can learn more about their ideas from the presentations below.
