Last month, MakerSpace Director, Oren Connell, utilized the 3D printers and laser cutter in the MakerSpace to create over 200 face shields for Dell Medical School. The process involved using a 3D printer to create a visor to hold the shield on the head, and cutting a thin layer of clear plastic with the laser cutter to create the shield. Mr. Connell was able to construct approximately 100 face shields in a week.
