Each year, the junior class participates in a weeklong internship where students gain real-world experience in STEM fields and learn professional skills, resume writing, proper interview skills, office attire and etiquette, and professional presentation skills. Internship week is a great resource for our Stars to test a career field they are interested in and find out what it’s like to work in a professional setting, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The first step is to interview! At the end of April, the juniors spent the day shaking hands with and meeting potential internship opportunities through an actual interview with the organizations that will be hiring our Stars for the week.
