Junior Internship Week Gives Stars a Real-World Preview

Our juniors are getting ready to step into the real world with Junior Internship Week, one of the most exciting experiences of the year. This spring, the Class of 2027 will choose from 42 internship sites across the Austin area, spending a full week on the job from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. while exploring careers connected to their pathway and interests.

Before they head out, our Stars build the skills they need to succeed. In their STARS class, they practice resume writing, interview skills, workplace etiquette, and professional presentation. They also take part in Interview Day on campus, where they meet with local partners, shake hands, and interview for the internships they’re most excited about.

For many students, Internship Week is a game changer. It’s a chance to try out a future career, build confidence, and see what life is really like in a professional setting. Most importantly, it helps our Stars picture themselves in spaces where women have not always been represented and step into those roles with confidence.
