Earlier this semester, College Success Day connected our current Stars with Ann Richards School alumni to learn firsthand what life looks like after graduation. Alumni joined us in person and via Zoom to participate in personalized Q&A sessions with middle and high school students.
More than 30 Star alumni shared their college journeys, offering honest insight into both the challenges and successes they’ve experienced since leaving the Ann Richards School. Across grade-level sessions, students asked thoughtful questions and heard real-world advice about navigating dorm life, managing homesickness, choosing a major, finding financial support for college, being a first-generation college student, balancing work while in school, and transitioning from ARS to college.
These conversations brought the college path to life for our Stars, helping them better envision their own next steps while reinforcing that they are not alone in the journey.
College Success Day continues to be a powerful reminder of the strength of the Star network and the impact of alumni giving back through mentorship and shared experience. We are deeply grateful to all of the alumni who took the time to participate and inspire the next generation of Stars.
