The Ann Richards School welcomed more than 80 guests from Leadership Women and the Leadership Texas program for a special day of conversation, connection, and learning on campus.
Founded by Governor Ann Richards, Leadership Texas brings together women leaders from across the state to explore important issues impacting Texas communities, education, healthcare, the economy, and public life. The program encourages participants to grow as leaders while building meaningful connections and a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our state.
Our Star students led tours across campus, sharing what makes the Ann Richards School experience so unique. From classrooms and collaborative spaces to conversations about leadership and community, Stars gave visitors a firsthand look at life at the school.
The visit also included a panel discussion on public education, supporting future leaders, and creating opportunities for students to thrive. Panelists included education and nonprofit leaders from across Texas, including Peggy Hanley, Executive Director of the Ann Richards School Foundation, alongside leaders from Raise Your Hand Texas, CAST Schools, The Holdsworth Center, and the Texas School Coalition.
Throughout the day, our Stars represented the school with confidence, warmth, and leadership. Their voices, stories, and campus tours helped showcase the power of an education rooted in leadership, service, and opportunity.
