6th Graders Share Virtual Reality Game Creations

Ms. Vargas’ 6th grade STEM class presented their virtual reality games to the school during morning assembly in early May to share what they learned through the Hello World program. Thanks to a grant from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and All Points North Foundation, Ann Richards School students spent the 2020-2021 school year learning web development and virtual reality programs.

Students connected weekly with Hello World engineers through their STEM classes to learn coding languages like HTML, CSS, Java, and JavaScript through a software program called CoBlocks. The software helped students organize and check their code while developing their virtual reality games.
