6th Graders Create Designs for a New Green School Building

At the Ann Richards School, students learn to dream big and create their ideas. The entire 6th-grade class spent the month of April dreaming big in their STEM class through researching, collaborating, designing, and creating a prototype of a new school building. Here’s the catch, they had to design a green building for a school at an international location. The research component was crucial to understanding how to create a school that would pass green building standards while minimizing the impact on the environment. Sixth graders took their creativity to the Ann Richards School MakerSpace where they built prototypes of their new school in preparation for a presentation to their peers and parents.
