Help dreams come true for our young women.
In 2007, founding principal Jeanne Goka opened the doors of the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders.
Under her leadership, what could have been an ordinary school instead became a place where dreams come true, where young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds gain the skills and confidence necessary to pursue college educations and careers.
After 10 years at the Ann Richards School, Ms. Goka retired from her 40-year career as an educator and administrator.
In her honor, longtime supporters Stacey Hadash and Terry McDonell created the Goka Society, a giving society to inspire younger donors (40 and under) to support the Ann Richards School and the continuation of Ms. Goka’s vision.
Donors who give $250 or more annually may be recognized as part of the Goka Society and invited to special events at the Ann Richards School throughout the year.
As a Goka Society member, you will receive special donor benefits:
- • Engage with our students through unique on-campus activities
- • Attend exclusive networking events for young professionals 40 and under
- • Receive acknowledgement on our website and Donor Wall
For Ann Richards School Alumnae
In addition, Ann Richards School alumnae who are in college may be recognized as part of the Goka Society with an annual gift of $25.
After college, alumnae who make a $250 gift will be invited to join the Goka Society.
