Senior Heads to Antartica for Research Trip
Senior Lucia H. will spend 11 days researching polar science with the Joint Antarctic School Expedition (JASE). Lucia was one of four participants selected from the United States. Middle School Competes in New Worlds – Cities in Space Competition
Middle school Algebra students spent their Friday at the New Worlds – Cities in Space Student Design and Competition. These Stars created a planetary colony using Google Sketchup to test their engineering, art, architecture and science skills. One team, El Marte, placed second in the competition.
Marching Stars Win Class A in BOA
The Ann Richards School Marching Band competed in the Bands of America – Austin Regional and won first place in the Class A division on Saturday, September 24, 2016. 8th Grade STARS College Prep
Ms. Roberts’ 8th grade STARS (Success Through Academics, Resiliency and Service) class spent the first part of the school year researching seven Texas universities to get ready for a college booth themed presentation to their 7th grade sisters. These 8th graders researched and created brochures to share in preparation for the ARS College Fair.
