Texas Wall Street Women Hosts Benefit for ARS
The Texas Wall Street Women hosted their annual Boots and Blackjack: A Casino Night for a Cause to benefit the Ann Richards School and Young Women’s Preparatory Network. Texas Wall Street Women have supported our Stars since 2011, thank you!
Physics Students Build Electric Houses
Ms. Lucero’s 9th grade Physics class spent a few weeks building out light houses. They designed, wired up, soldered and created a really great project. This year’s project put ohms law to the test by learning about voltage and amperes.
Senior Receives Full Ride to UT McCombs School of Business
The UT Office of Admissions and the McCombs School Business surprised senior Truc L. with her acceptance to UT and a full scholarship to the McCombs School of Business. Hook’em joined in on the surprise in front of the whole school during morning assembly. Congrats Truc!
Ann Richards School 6th Grader Featured on KVUE News

Cecile Richards Visits the Ann Richards School
On Friday, November 9 our Stars welcomed Cecile Richards for a special visit with the student body and a tour of the school. Ms. Richards encouraged our Stars by saying, “you are tougher, stronger, and more resilient than you think, and you have Ann Richards looking over you, encouraging you on. The future is yours.”

Las Estrellas participate in the Viva La Vida Parade
SeƱora Schweke’s Spanish III class created alebrijes for the Mexic-Arte Museum and City of Austin’s Viva La Vida Parade for Day of the Dead. Ann Richards Senior Featured in Nissan Commercial
Ann Richards School senior, Olga H., was featured in the Nissan Mentor Lift project where she met CyberSecurity Engineer, Soledad Antelada. Olga will be the first in her family to attend college and wants to study engineering in college.
