ARS Chapter Community Service Project 2009-2010

For this year's service project, NJHS has worked to establish ARS as an official No Place for Hate school. To be recognized as an offical NPFH site, students must pledge to do their best to fight intolerance and prejudice in all its forms. Additionally, the school must implement three school-wide activities designed to raise awareness about the issues of discrimination and prejudice. Our NJHS chapter is currently promoting its second activity, voluntary participation in the April 16th National Day of Silence to honor those whose lives have been taken as a result of a hate crime.
