Live music event at Jovita’s benefits the Library

Thank you Las Comadres!

Supporters of the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders enjoyed fantastic live music at Jovita’s on Tuesday, April 1st. Gina Chavez entertained the crowd with an acoustic set, and musical group Cerronato had the crowd dancing! Las Comadres, a Hispanic women’s community group hosted the event which benefited the library at the school. Shawn Mauser, the school’s librarian was deeply grateful for all the support and wishes to give special thanks to the organizers of the event, Las Comadres, Clemencia Zapata and Celeste Mendoza. Proceeds from the event will provide approximately 53 new books for the school library.
