The coursework is designed to help our students make real-world, relevant connections through school assignments and will be enhanced with field trips, summer programs and internships. And the cornerstone will be a college counseling program that will guide students through the entire college entrance process, including helping families identify and apply for financial aid and scholarships.

Our rigorous academic program emphasizes science, technology, engineering and math (STEM Exploratory) challenging our students to succeed in areas where girls often fall through the cracks. These curricular activities are complimented by a strong Liberal Arts Exploratory, STARS Exploratory (Success Through Academics, Responsibility and Service), Pre Advanced Placement Core Classes, Foreign Language Study and Fine Arts.

At the Ann Richards School we believe that success means exploring the world beyond academics. Our students learn to be leaders through their classes, exposure to community leaders, service learning activities and participating in student lead organizations and extracurricular activities. Our students learn that success depends on taking care of the self through wellness programs that discuss good nutrition, regular exercise and practicing healthy behaviors.

In addition to offering traditional after school programs including athletics, the Ann Richards School is partnering with a broad array of community organizations to offer our students avenues to explore their hidden passions and talents. Current partners include Femme Film Texas, Girls Scouts, GENAustin, GirlStart, Badgerdog, Las Latinitas Magazine, and Zach Scott Theatre among others.
